This is a free utility program that supports setting up a subscription to your ClickFunnels Blog. It uses OverSkill as well as Marketing Secrets AI for implementation.
The Process Is Fairly Simple:
Remix the OverSkill App & Modify
Set up a Contact Tag inside ClickFunnels
Import the Marketing Secrets AI Instructions
Connect Marketing Secrets AI to your ClickFunnels workspace
Detailed Instructions
Remix the OverSkill App
Open the Blog Subscription app at the link below and then select the Remix button in the lower left corner (see image) to pull it into your OverSkill account. If you do not have an OverSkill account, one will be created for you.
To set up the App, you will need the following information from ClickFunnels.
Copy these and save them for later for use in the App. * Your Subdomain & Workspace ID:
https://subdomain.myclickfunnels.com/account/workspaces/workspace id
* Your ClickFunnels API Key:
Inside your WorkSpace selector drill into this section:
Teams
Team Settings
Developer Portal
Add New Platform Application
Inside The New Platform Application:
Name it
Leave it on Full Access for now
Click the "Only the workspaces I select below" control & Select the Workspace
Click "Create Platform Application"
Scroll Down... Under API Access Tokens, Copy the Default Access Token
* Create the Contact Tag WorkSpace Settings -> Tags -> Contacts -> Add Tag Create the tag blog-subscriber
Configure Your OverSkill App (Blog Subscription)
To set up the App, you will need the following ENV Variables set up CF_FAILURE_NOTIFY_EMAIL CLICKFUNNELS_API_TOKEN CLICKFUNNELS_SUBDOMAIN CLICKFUNNELS_WORKSPACE_ID
Here's where they go inside your OverSkill app:
Edit Your Subscription Branding Tell OverSkill to replace the text for MY blog with the text for YOUR blog. Just say this in the chat: Replace the text "Inside The Ropes" with "Whatever Your Blog Title Is" and the text "Tactical advice, etc" with "why your blog exists" and rebrand the Join button.
Now test your app by entering a name and email address. You should see your new contact inside your ClickFunnels Workspace, with the tag applied. If it fails, you should get an email telling you this. You can adjust the contents of the email by telling OverSkill what you want it to contain. If it does not connect to ClickFunnels correctly, or cannot find the tag or whatever, then additional debugging will be needed, but this app should connect correctly if your subdomain, workspace name and API Token are correctly set.
Update Your Blog Template(s) in ClickFunnels
You now want to add a Subscription Button to your Blog Template(s).
I put a Subscribe Button in both my Blog Home and Blog Post template
Workspace Settings -> Themes --- Select Your Active Theme Edit Blog Home Edit Blog Post
Add your button where it makes sense. My button configuration: looks like this. Be sure you open in a new window, and include the URL for your new subscription app.
Now your blog can start generating contacts inside ClickFunnels, tagged to receive your blog posts. The next part is the where the emails get created and sent, and that work will be done in Marketing Secrets AI. I can tell you that before I added the MSAI part of this, I was tagging subscribers and sending the emails out myself manually every Monday. I would manually create the summary email with the link and send it in a broadcast to everyone who was subscribed. Though I had passed that task on to a VA in the Philippines, it's not a value-added task. I want my VAs to focus on revenue generating tasks. I did not automate this to get rid of a VA, but to move her to more advanced work that grows my business.
Automation with Marketing Secrets AI
I built a weekly routine that automatically emails your blog subscribers every time you publish a new post on your ClickFunnels blog. It checks for new posts, builds a clean email with a summary and link, and sends it to everyone tagged "blog-subscriber" - all on autopilot every Monday morning. If your blog is published more often than that, you can increase the runs to whatever schedule fits the best for you.
The Setup Guide attached walks you through recreating it in your own workspace in about two minutes. Just swap in your own blog ID, contact filter, topic ID, and logo URL where the placeholders are.
Two things to know before you start:
You'll need ClickFunnels connected to your CoS account inside MSAI
There's a known issue with Blog Topic assignments not persisting through the API right now - if you hit that, just assign the topic manually in ClickFunnels once and it'll work. The bug should be fixed shortly, and may be fixed by the time you see this.
If you don't have a Marketing Secrets AI account, you can see what it's all about at this link: The AI Secrets Challenge To deploy this routine inside your own MSAI Chief of Staff, download the Text File linked below, edit the appropriate details inside about your blog - it will walk you through it - and then upload this to YOUR Chief of Staff inside MSAI and you should be good to go.
